[edit] Career

In 1996 they scored two Hot 100 Top 40 hits, including "Where Do You Go", which hit #5. The follow-up "Please Don't Go" climbed to #21.

Although they have not had further success on the pop charts, their remake of the band Exile's #1 song from 1978, "Kiss You All Over", became a #1 hit on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1998.

My Promise was the album which was released, containing these songs and others.

No Mercy's second album, More, included singles such as "Hello How Are You", "More Than A Feeling" (originally recorded by Boston) and "Tu Amor". The album fared less well than their first long player, and No Mercy fell silent for a while.

A single, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", was released in 2002 to evaluate support for No Mercy's third album. The producer decided to instead rework the songs for solo artist Daniel Lopes' debut album, Shine On, in 2003. No Mercy are featured on the track "Summer Angel" of Lopes' album.

[edit] Miscellaneous

The band's sound was heavily influenced by the Everything but the Girl hit "Missing", a song which the band also recorded on their debut album. Recently Ariel Hernandez was seen on MTV in the show starzdominate with other pop stars.
