No Depression is the title of an album released 1990 by the alt-country band Uncle Tupelo.

This album is generally cited as starting the alt-country movement and is often used as a description for the genre. It is also the title of a magazine that covers the alt-country music scene. In the late 1990s, the magazine sponsored an annual No Depression Tour including several alt-country artists, although this failed in its intent to bring them wider radio airplay.
