[edit] You're welcome

I wasn't trying to push a point, most of your contributions have got comments. It is a good habit to develop though. I say that from experience since I had to break the habit of not commenting after months of editing. It wasn't easy.

Thanks for the enthusiasm.

Regards

[edit] links

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 20:59, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 21:07, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I can see nothing wrong with the links inserted. Each link leads directly to a chess player's stats. It is far better having a link to a statistical database than having to update stats in Wikipedia. Keep up the good work!

Since I like the statistical links to ChessWorld.net, I have re-inserted them.
May I suggest that if you edit on Wikipedia in future that you do the following:
  • Lend equal weight to links to FIDE and ChessGames.com. In other words, if you see that these links are missing when you are inserting a link to ChessWorld.net then add them as well. This will show that you are even-handed and not showing preference to ChessWorld.net
  • Participate in general edits as well. Read the article and correct spelling or grammar errors, remove/replace inaccuracies and add facts that are absent, and Wikify if required.
  • Do not allow vandalism to remain. I saw that you left some blatant vandalism intact on Lázaro Bruzón when you edited it.
The above will reduce the chance of you being accused of link spamming as has happened when your sole focus has been adding links to ChessWorld.net, useful as they may be.
I hope that this disagreement will not have chased you away.
Regards

While I had a few doubts on the ChessWorld links (since most stats are from ChessGames by tacet policy around here), having visited the links I found very detailed and useful profiles. Kudos on that.  VodkaJazz / talk  15:52, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
