The no. M-1 line is a bus line operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore, Maryland. It currently runs from the Mondawmin Metro Subway Station along Liberty Heights Avenue and Liberty Road to a loop known as Milford Mill (not to be confused with the Milford Mill Metro Subway Station). This loop is composed of a square block, consisting of Liberty Road, Rolling Road, Church Lane, and Milford Mill Road. The community includes multiple houses, apartments, shopping centers, and schools.
The no. M-1 line started operating in 1987 Along its present route. However, in 1990, it was combined with the no. M-13 line, and selected trips were extended along Milford Mill Road to the Milford Mill Metro Subway Station. In addition, other trips operated between the Milford Mill Metro Subway Station and a community off Scotts Level Road in Pikesville known as Bellemore Farms. This replaced a branch of the no. M-13 line.
In 1998, MTA proposed the elimination of the Bellemore Farms branch. However, a protest from riders and employers located along this branch resulted in this plan being scrapped.
The line continued following this route for the next 15 years, with the only change being the addition of Sunday service in 2001, when Sunday service was introduced on all M-lines.
Then, in 2005, the line returned to its pre-1990 route, as all service along Milford Mill Road was provided by the rerouted No. M-8 Line. No service was provided to Bellemore Farms.
