No. 607 Squadron RAF

No. 607 Squadron RAF was formed in 1930 at the new airfield of RAF Usworth, Sunderland.
The first Commanding Officer was Viscount Runciman.
The squadron operated during World War 2 form various locations and was active as a fighter squadron during the Battle of Britain. At the end of the war the squadron was operating in Burma until it disbanded in July 1945.
