No. 43 Line

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article describes a former bus line of the Maryland Transit Administration. Information provided here is derived from old schedules and other archived resources.

The no. 43 line was a bus line operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore, Maryland and its suburbs between 1991 and 1992. The line provided peak hour service between Kingsville, White Marsh, and downtown Baltimore along the Belair Road corridor, with very minimal amounts of service outside of rush hour. It no longer operates and service along its route is currently provided by the No. 15 Line.

[edit] History

Service on the route of the no. 43 line started operating in 1973, but back then was known as the no. 15A line. The line was renamed to no. 43 in 1991.

In June 1992, the no. 43 line was eliminated. But service to Kingsville was provided on a new branch of the no. 15 line, and to White Marsh on selected trips on the No. 66 Line.

When the no. 66 line was eliminated in January 1993, a new branch of the no. 15 line was formed to provide service to White Marsh.
