The no. 36 line is a bus line operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore, Maryland. It currently runs from the intersection of York Road and Northern Parkway to the University of Maryland Transit Center, mostly along The Alameda, Kirk Avenue, and Guilford Avenue, with some deviations from these routes in North Baltimore. The line has been operating since 1947.

[edit] Overhaul

In 2005, MTA proposed that the no. 36 line would be combined with the route of the southern portion of the No. 11 Line and extended along the Washington Boulevard corridor to Riverview with short turns at Monroe Street, and its frequency of service increased. After this change was not implemented in 2005 as a result of public outcry, mostly pertaining to other lines, it was again proposed in 2006. To this date, this change was not implemented.

A similar plan had been proposed in 1998, but likewise, was scrapped.
