Talk:NN-XT Advanced Sampler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is not well written for the subject. This article says nothing about what types of sample libraries the NN-XT supports at all, it generally explains what keymapping is, and a few of the NN-XT's features are instead of discussing in depth what the NN-XT really is.
The NN-XT Advanced sampler is a device in Reason for doing exreemly advanced Sample Processing. It can be used to load Sound Fonts, 'other types of sample libraries including the native nn-tx sample library format are also supported but I don't know what they are. hence the reason I came here.' The NN-XT can sav parameters to each individual keyzone so it doesn't have to share the settings globally, some of the features include 'sample offset, filter pitch pan and amplitude envelopes and LFO's etc'
To do: mention its ability to play a set of samples randomly within a keyzone and velocity (used usefully in the Drum Kits refill so hitting the same drum twice with the same velocity doesn't produce an identical sound).
