Nitish Bharadwaj (also called Nitesh Bharadwaj) is an Indian actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Krishna in B. R. Chopra's television series Mahabharat, as well as for his portrayal of several avatars of Vishnu in some of Chopra's other works, such as Vishnu Puran or B.R. Chopra's Ramayan.
Riding on his popularity, he stood for elections to the Indian Parliament and was elected. He was not re-nominated after a mediocre term as MP.[citation needed]
