Nishiuwa District, Ehime

Nishiuwa (西宇和郡 Nishiuwa-gun?) is a district located in Ehime, Japan.
As of 2004 the district has an estimated population of 12,580. The total area is 94.34 km².

- February 11, 1935—The city of Yawatahama was founded after two towns and two villages merged.
- April 1, 2004—The town of Mikame merged with 4 towns from the former Higashiuwa District (Akehama, Uwa, Nomura, and Shirokawa) to form the city of Seiyo.
- March 28, 2005—The town of Honai merged with the old city of Yawatahama to form the new city of Yawatahama.
- April 1, 2005—The towns of Ikata, Misaki, and Seto merged to form the new town of Ikata.
