Nimis, Italy

Nimis (slovenian Neme) is a town of 2,817 in the Italian province of Udine close to the border with Slovenia. It is situated in front of Mount Bernadia, home to a World War One Italian Fort and a locally famous sweet white wine, Ramandolo. According to the census 1971 25,4% of the population are Slovenians.
