Nilo Soruco (July 6, 1927 - April 1, 2004) was a Bolivian singer-songwriter.

Soruco (born Danilo Soruco Arancibia) wrote more than 300 songs that enriched his culture and heritage. He belonged to a generation of communist artists who were banned and persecuted under the Bolivian dictatorship of the 1970s. Soruco went into exile to Caracas, Venezuela, until 1978.

Among his best-know tunes are "La vida es linda", "Ya la pagarán", “Duraznero”, “Instantánea”, and particularly "Caraqueña", composed in his Venezuelan exile, which are sung at Bolivia's popular celebrations.

Soruco won his country's National Culture Prize in 2003.

He died in his birth place, Tarija, Bolivia, of cardiac arrest at the age of 76. Soruco had been hospitalized a few days before with a renal failure secondary to Chagas disease.
