This article talks about Kelli twice but never says who he/she is.

"Kelli and other SCAT agents" => she is a SCAT agent :)

The article repeatedly refers to the monsters in the game as "vampires"... to the best of my memory, these monsters were actually referred to as "Augers" or something like that. I don't remember them being called vampires. If someone could verify vampires, that would be great.

Also, I played through the game about 12 years ago, and I don't remember anything even remotely shocking... why was this game so frequently cited for ESRB reasons? -JX

I totally agree with your arguments. I'll change the article for that "vampires" edit. --Abdull 20:41, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
I never owned the game but the rumor was that if you failed or something one of the bad guys took a power drill to the head of one of the girls... but then again that was coming from a kid at the time.
It's funny how a game like this gets a "Mature" from the ESRB, while a game like Snatcher, which features bloody intestines and the bloody result of a decapitation gets a "Teen". Chipmunk01 18:36, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Watch the playthrough video. When the game clock reaches 17 minutes Plato's character says, "I think these might be vampires we're up against here." She and the others also call them Augs and Augers. There's also some dialogue in the video at the 22-minute mark, including:
  • "What is an Auger?"
  • "A vampire victim who's been half-bled and left there to die."
  • "The poor creatures have just enough blood to survive, but not enough to become vampires."
  • "Vampires, you gotta be jivin' me! Let's cuff these freaks and drag 'em downtown!"

[edit] Production of Night Trap

The secret video sequence you can unlock at the end of the credits (see NEMO for more) is supposed to show footage of a NEMO video game console (cool!), that shows a prototype version of Night Trap (=Scene Of Crime, even cooler) in December 1986 (!!... that is what the video says). Does that mean Night Trap actually was filmed/produced in 1986, but was released to the Sega CD not until October 1992 - 7 years after the scenes were filmed?

A 1986 production would fit with the game's 80's pop music theme and the characters' messed-up dressings.

Dana Plato is Called Kelly in the Sega CD version not Kelli, when SCAT finally enter the house in the Sega CD version, they call themselves the Special Control Attack Team not the Sega Control Attack Team.(So it wasn't just changed after hitting other consoles/pc). You are not working security for anyone, but rather trying to find out what is going on, and you have spliced into the system of traps/cameras that the martins(vampires) have set up to catch the guests(victims) with. And as far as I am aware, there were 2 Sega CD Versions, the 2nd one slightly edited after the controversy surrounding it, and the 32X version had the content of the re-released Sega CD version.
