Niginho

Leonídio Fantoni, best known as Niginho (born in Belo Horizonte, February 12, 1912 – died September 5, 1975) was a Brazilian professional Football (soccer) forward player.

In his career (1926–1946) he played for Cruzeiro EC (he was one of the top goalscorers in the clubs history, scoring 207 goals in 272 appearances), Atlético Mineiro, Palmeiras, and Vasco da Gama. He won seven Minas Gerais State Championships (1928, 1929, 1930, 1940, 1943, 1944, 1945) and one São Paulo State Championship in 1936. He was also top goalscorer in the 1937 Rio de Janeiro State Championship and in the Minas Gerais Championships of 1940 and 1943. In the Serie A he played from 1932 to 1935 at S.S. Lazio.

For Brazil he was in their roster for the 1938 FIFA World Cup, without playing a game. He died at 63 years old.
