Nights Plague are a Metalcore band from the Australian town of Alice Springs.

They have achieved considerable success performing as local artists, particularly among the youth of the town. This popularity has enabled them to release an EP, entitled Sine Die as well as perform at the NT Government's Bass In The Dust annual music festival and a small 2007 tour of the Northern Territory and Queensland.

[edit] History

The band was formed by guitarist Adrian Rooke and drummer Karl Steller while they were attending high school. The band quickly developed a small but dedicated fanbase, however it was not until the addition of vocalist Gareth Dawkins, bassist Nick Hayes-Marshall and guitarist Douglas Minden that the band started to achieve a following with the greater population of the town. After a number of shows and several line up changes, the band released Sine Die in late 2006 with Greg Pierson and Jesse Blackburn taking over the vocalist and bassist duties respectively.

[edit] Trivia

The band has the distinct honour of having written the shittest song in the universe, Kill the Hate That Grips My Heart.

The band are well known as being not very nice to their mothers.
