Night Shade Books

Night Shade Books is an independent publishing company based in San Francisco, specializing in science fiction, fantasy, dark fantasy and cross-genre novels. It was started in 1998 and is currently run by Jason Williams and Jeremy Lassen. Night Shade won the 2003 World Fantasy Award (Non-Professional).
The company has published work by H.P. Lovecraft, John Shirley, S.P. Somtow, Zoran Zivkovic, Iain M. Banks, Kage Baker, Elizabeth Bear, Jay Lake, Andrew Fox, Andrew Migliore, Charles R. Saunders, Matthew Hughes, Rhys Hughes, and Steven Erikson.
