The Nigeria Advance Party is a progressive political party headed by a radical Lagos lawyer, Mr Tunji Braithwaite. The party was the only new political organization allowed to field candidates for the Nigerian elections of 1983. The party comprised of southern Nigerian intellectuals who favor a reformist government.
