Nigel Spearing

Nigel John Spearing (born 8 October 1930) is a British Labour Party politician. He served as MP for Acton from 1970 until February 1974, then was elected for Newham South in a by-election later the same year. It was the only by-election held in the February to October 1974 Parliament. Spearing retained the seat until his retirement in 1997.
