Nigel Osborne

Nigel Osborne (b. Manchester, Greater Manchester, England) is a British composer.

He serves as Reid Professor of music at the University of Edinburgh.

He studied composition with Kenneth Leighton (his predecessor as Reid Professor of Music at the University of Edinburgh), Egon Wellesz (the first pupil of Arnold Schoenberg), and Witold Rudzinski. He also studied at the Polish Radio Experimental Studio in Warsaw.
