Nigel Holmes is a graphic designer who focuses on information graphics and information design.

Holmes' career in infographics began in 1978 when he joined Time magazine [1] to design what he calls "explanation graphics" — pictures that elucidate the subjects in the magazine. Following 16 years at Time, he became a freelance designer, lecturer, and author of books on the subject including Wordless diagrams.
