Nieman Foundation for Journalism

The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University was established at Harvard in 1937 in memory of Agnes Wahl Nieman's husband, Lucius W. Nieman, founder of The Milwaukee Journal. She stated the goal was "to promote and elevate the standards of journalism in the United States and educate persons deemed especially qualified for journalism."
