Nico Brina

Nico Brina, born 29th of September 1969 in Biel-Bienne (Switzerland), is a Boogie Woogie, Blues and Rock'n'Roll pianist and singer.

1978 Nico Brina faell in love with Rock’n’Roll music and started playing the piano. For the first few months he attended a piano school but then began to teach himself. 1984 he co-founds the rock’n’roll band “Jive Boys“. 1988 he starts playing his first Blues’n’Boogie solo-performances. 1990 Brina raises his knowledge of music by visiting the Jazz School in Berne. Since 1993 he is accompanied by a drummer and playing more than 100 Boogie Woogie-Shows a year - all over the world, e.g. in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Olympic Games (Athens, Greece)… 1995 Nico Brina wins the “Prix Walo” (Swiss Award) as a “special act“.

1996 he becomes the fastest Boogie Woogie-player ever in the world. Thanks to his “High Speed Boogie” he enters the Guinness Book of Records. 2003 Brina releases “Born To Be A Boogieman“, his fifth CD. It is dedicated to his 20th anniversary on stage (2004). 2005 his latest DVD “happy ol’ boy“ is released. It contains clips, studio footage and excerpts of live performances.

He is one of the most famost Boogie WOogie- and Rock'n'Roll-Pianist and singer of europe today - The media called him already "King of Boogie"!
