Nicky Eaden (born December 12, 1972) is a football defender currently on loan to Lincoln City from Nottingham Forest. He joined Forest in the summer of 2005, signed by the now-departed Gary Megson as a replacement for Mattieu Louis-Jean - a summer signing by Norwich City.
Born in Sheffield in South Yorkshire, Eaden started his career at local Barnsley F.C.; contributing to their shock promotion to the Premiership before joining Birmingham City. Eaden also had a successful spell with Wigan Athletic; winning promotion from the then Division Two and then into the Premiership.
Despite his being successful with most of his previous clubs, he has not been a favourite with the Forest faithful and the caretaker managers Frank Barlow and Ian McParland did not include Nicky Eaden in a matchday squad after a disappointing season in the East Midlands.
He had been promoted with every club he had been at although, despite not playing a consistent role in the Forest squad in the 05-06 season, he and his team missed out on the playoffs by two points. On August 31, 2006 he joined Lincoln on loan, where as of November 24, 2006 has just extended his loan period.
