A shape memory alloy with superelasticity which makes it suitable for many medical/non-medical applications. In dentistry, the material is used in orthodontics (for brakets and wires) and endodontics, where Nickel Titanium (NiTi) files are used to clean and shape the root canals during the root canal procedure. Also, it can be used as the muscules of arifical hands.
