Nicholas Frederick Youngquest (born July 28, 1983 in Sydney, NSW) is an Australian rugby league player for the Penrith Panthers in the National Rugby League competition. He previously played for the Cronulla Sharks and St George Illawarra Dragons, but due to limited playing opportunites and poor form, he eventually left both clubs. Further poor form in his first season at Penrith saw him play just seven NRL games for 2006. His position of choice is at wing.
Nick's male model looks and piercing blue eyes have seen him, along with Matt Cooper and Michael Witt, be regarded one of rugby league's sexiest men. He's been a finalist in the Sexiest Man in League contest for 2004 (placed second) and 2006, and in late 2005, he was selected as one of twelve players from the NRL that posed for the League Of Their Own 2006 calendar that was produced in the style of the famous Dieux du Stade calendars to raise money for the Koori Kids foundation. Nick was also one of the NRL players featured in Myer's Spring Summer 2006 fashion show, where he modelled swimwear and the latest clothing from Country Road.
In 2006 he again posed for the 2007-2008 Naked Rugby League Calendar*[1], stirring controversy after his revealing pose - in which one hand is placed partially over his genitalia. The NRL has come forth to say, that they do not endorse nor authorise the calendar, especially in the nature in which the pictures have been taken. The sales of the calendar will help to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The resulting controversy has seen Nick's profile and popularity increase somewhat, especially amongst gay men, whom the calendar is very popular with.
