[edit] Info

Nick Tilsley is the son of Brian Tilsley and Gail Platt and the brother of Sarah-Louise Platt and half brother to David Platt and also uncle to Bethany Platt. He was a character in the soap from birth, and was played by several different child actors. He was known as "Nicky" until he was in his teens. He then went to Canada to live with his uncle Stephen (the son of Audrey Roberts) and returned a young adult.

Nick Tilsley has had relationships with a few other characters from Coronation Street such as Leanne Battersby and Maria Sutherland. He married Leanne in Scotland at the age of seventeen and got her pregnant, but the couple divorced after Nick persuaded Leanne to abort the baby. They both left the show in 2000.

Nick returned a few years later and had a relationship with Maria Sutherland. Maria went back to Canada with him, but returned disillusioned. However, on Nick's next visit they resumed their relationship. When his ex-wife Leanne returned, she hated Maria after hearing that she called her a tart and also that Maria had had sex with the then boyfriend of Leanne's stepsister Toyah. She made it her business to come between Nick and Maria.

Nick also had the soap's first gay kiss with character Todd Grimshaw in 2003 (Nick was not gay). Rickett's character is currently not appearing on the show.
