Nick Langston

Nick Langston is a singer born in Oxford, UK. He studied at university in Bristol, England but worked as a DJ and record producer in Oxfordshire where he produced a demo (music) for a band known as The Jennifers, soon to become Supergrass.

Nick's musical interests have expanded to include jazz, swing (dance), blues, acid jazz and latin american music.

His initial ventures into the Bristol open mic scene included the renowned Bristol music pub The Old Duke and the respected jazz venue the Tantric Jazz Cafe Bar where he was spotted by the owner who promoted Jamie Cullum early in his career.

He has since played extensively around the Bristol area including events for the Bristol Hippodrome. These have included cast parties for the premiere of Mary Poppins attended by cast such as Laura Michelle Kelly and Jerry Springer - The Opera when actor Rolf Saxon played the lead role.

As a member of the East Bristol Jazz Club, Nick has sung with many of Bristol's top musicians and also visiting musicians such as Dennis Rollins and Gilad Atzmon. He is also an accomplished guitarist and is occasionally seen in solo performance or with his guitar duo.

Nick is most well-known for his quartet which includes accomplished Bristol musicians such as saxophonist, Andy Kinsman who has also played with Clare Teal, Beth Rowley, Ben Castle (son of Roy Castle) and Andy Sheppard. His music includes a re-working of jazz standards and a collection of new material soon to be included on CD.
