Nick Giannopoulos

Nick Giannopoulos (July 1, 1963 in Melbourne, Australia) is a Greek Australian stand-up comedian, film and TV actor. He is best known for his comedy stage show Wogs out of Work and the television sitcom Acropolis Now and is an exponent of wog comedy.

Giannopoulous lived in Richmond, Victoria as a child and supported the Richmond Football Club upon moving there. He asked his mother to buy him a Richmond jumper, which is black with a yellow sash. Instead his mother purchased a black jumper with a red sash, due to the fact it was on special. However, this jumper was of the Essendon Football Club, and since then Giannopoulous has been a prominent supporter of the club.

Giannopoulos has also made appearances at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. He has also followed up Wogs out of Work with the Wog Boys and Wog-A-Rama stage shows.

His film credits include The Wog Boy (2000) which was a box-office hit in Australia, and a less successful film - The Wannabes (2003), which he also directed.
