Nick Duffy

Nicholas "Nick" John Duffy (born June 24, 1956 in Birmingham, West Midlands, England) is a British artist, illustrator and musician. Nick is Stephen Duffy's elder brother and co-founder of The Lilac Time.

He contributed with instrumentals to the The Lilac Time albums. The Lilac Time temporarily split up in 1991, Nick returned to his old profession of illustrator. Some of his work is available in the archive section of his website, Décor.co.uk.

Nick and Stephen formed The Lilac Time with a friend, Michael Weston, in 1986. After the album "& Love For All" (1990), Nick left the band and didn't participate in the 1991 album "Astronauts". Then the band would split up for eight years before the next album, "Looking For A Day In The Night" (1999) was released, with a new line up which consisted in Stephen Duffy, Nick Duffy and Claire Worrall. He continues to be a member of The Lilac Time. (See The Lilac Time for more detail on the band's history.)

Nick Duffy's musical projects are Bait, Eagle Ombina and Zsa Zsa Zsa and has recently recorded with Brittlestar. Bait's members are Nick Duffy, Caroline Radcliffe and Nick Waterhouse. Zsa Zsa Zsa's members are Nick Duffy, Mark Waters, Kate Gathercole and Simon Hamilton, while Eagle Ombina is his solo project.

Bait, Eagle Ombina and Zsa Zsa Zsa albums are no longer available, however, Nick Duffy is working on putting many of his project's songs available for downloading in his website
