Nicholas Burns (British actor)

Nicholas Burns (born 1977, Derbyshire) is an English comic actor best known for his role as ego-centric Nathan Barley in Chris Morris & Charlie Brooker's (2005) show of he same name. As part of the advertising campaign for this series Burns' face appeared around the London underground advertising a fictional phone (the Wasp T12 Speechtool). Burns has also appeared in Absolute Power as character 'Nick Mayer', in BBC comedy sketch show Man Stroke Woman and also in London's West End, playing Tony Blair in the anti-war satire, "The Madness of George Dubya". Burns' most recent performance is in ITV's Benidorm (2007) as 'Martin Weedon', a troubled husband who unthinkingly attempts to save his marriage in the hellish resort town of Benidorm. Burns has also made some guest appearances; as 'The King' in a second series episode of The Mighty Boosh and also as the voice of puppet fox 'Ronald Cox the Sweaty Fox' in the cult TV program Shooting Stars.
