[edit] Debating Career

My debating career started since my school life though I took it seriously when I entered in to the university. I formed a team named “EWU Dream” at East West University, along with one of my senior brother Rashedul Hasan Stalin, which is the best teams ever in the history of EWU Debating. The procedure of forming this team stared in 2002 and since 2003 we have been participating in different National level tournaments and championships. We ruled with promising performances through out the whole 2004. This year we became National level CHAMPION and also took part in 17th National Television Debate Championship in BTV. Because of our performance at the end of the year we have been awarded Best Debating Club (performance) Award by Bangladesh Debate Federation. Same year we participated in World's largest and most prestigious debating tournament, 25th World Universities Debating Championship 2005 held at Multimedia University, Malaysia. The very next year, 2005 was a dull year for me as the best major performance was to become the Runner’s Up in IUTDC Inter University Debate Championship and rest of the result was not good at all. But 2006 was a come back year for me and my university. I became the Captain of EWU Dream and we became consecutive semi-finalist in 3 National Level tournaments held at Asian University, UIU and Dhaka University respectively. Finally, we broke the chain and became national CHAMPION in Prime Bank – NDDC 18th National Debate Championship 2006 which is also my first off-campus national championship. With this championship I ended my National career though still willing to take part in international level in future.

  • World Ranking by University de Valladolid, Spain

World’s largest online judge for the university level programmers is University de Valladolid Online Judge situated in Spain. This online judge is the most prestigious and reputed among the ACM selected OJ. This site has the largest problem set as well as the largest number of registered programmers to fight on. Besides, it has a sister site called ACM ICPC Live Archive which contains only the past ICPC problems. Main ranking is made by the main site performance but live archive is also a nice place to practice. My ranking and current status is shown bellow:

  • International Contest

World’s largest and most prestigious event in Computer Programming is ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest or in short ACM ICPC. ICPC is divided into few phases, Regional Preliminary, Regional Final and World Final. I participated in 5 Asian Regional Final and 2 Asian Regional Preliminary Contest of ICPC in India and Bangladesh.

  • National Contest

Interestingly I participated in very few national contests. It is because I had to maintain two different careers (debate and programming contest) in parallel while doing my graduation. I always tried to attend the international contests as well as some selective national contests. They have been listed bellow:
