Niall Stanage

Niall Stanage is a journalist from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

He is a columnist for the Irish national newspaper The Sunday Business Post and a former editor of Magill Magazine.

Stanage attended Carryduff Primary School and Methodist College Belfast, in Northern Ireland, then read English at St Edmund Hall, Oxford University.

In the early-to-mid 1990s, Stanage did a stint as a singer-songwriter, performing various live gigs in the UK and Ireland, playing acoustic guitar and harmonica.

He has been based in the United States in recent years. His opinions are generally liberal, but he has been very critical of anti-Americanism among liberals in Ireland and in Europe in general. [1].

He is a frequent editorial contributor to the British newspaper The Guardian. He also writes for The New York Observer about American politics. He also writes for The Irish Echo, a New York weekly Irish American paper which was founded in 1928.
