NFL Coastal Division

The NFL Coastal refers to one of the four divisions of the National Football League that was created prior to the 1967 season when the league realigned the original two divisions the East and West. The division would last until the 1970 when the National Football League and American Football League merged.
The NFL Coastal consisted of four members: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Colts, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers. After the AFL-NFL Merger in 1970, three of the four teams (Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco) would join the NFC West. While Baltimore would join the AFC East. For the three years the division existed it was dominated by Baltimore and Los Angeles.
