NFL Century Division

The NFL Century refers to one of the four divisions of the National Football League that was created prior to the 1967 season when the league realigned the original two divisions the East and West. The division would last until the 1970 when the National Football League and American Football League merged.
The NFL Century was a four team division. However, in the three year period of its existence it would consist of five members: Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, and St. Louis Cardinals. In 1967 and 1969 the four teams were: Cleveland, New York, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis. In 1968 New York and New Orleans switched divisions with New York spending the year in the NFL Capitol. After the AFL-NFL Merger in 1970, two of the four teams (New York and St. Louis) would join the NFC East. While Cleveland and Pittsburgh would join the AFC Central. For the three years the division existed it was dominated by Cleveland.
