The 12th legislative election since the restoration of democracy will be the next parliamentary election in Greece. Assuming the current Hellenic Parliament remains in office for the typical four years, it will likely occur in spring 2008.
A survey made by GPO in January 15 2007 gave the following results:
- N.D. 35.9%
- PA.SO.K. 33.7 %
- K.K.E. 7.3 %
- SYN. 4.1 %
- LA.O.S. 4.4 %
- Other Party 0,7%
- None 4,4%

[edit] Potential Candidate
It has been speculated that Dora Bakoyannis may run to be elected as the first female Prime Minister of Greece, and that she and incumbent Kostas Karamanlis may split the ticket. She is widley presumed to run for prime minister one day, and many believe it will be 2008. Her father, former Prime Minister of Greece Constantine Mitsotakis, has commented on his hopes for her running and becoming the first female head of sate for the nation.
