What is an "expansion team"? An expansion team is basically when a league allows new teams to start playing. In 2002 AF2 let a bunch of new teams start up. Many of them failed.

What is the AF2? AF2 stands for Arena Football 2, the minor league system of the AFL (Arena Football League). This is an indoor, American football league that has been gaining popularity lately.
