hello, i am somewhat confused. was chen yi the commander of the new fourth army, as is suggested by the chen yi article, or was it ye ting?

In a communist army there's the military leader and a commissar who is technically above the military leader. Sometimes the two jobs are done by the same person, sometimes two. In this case, Ye Ting was the military leader, while Xiang Ying. Chen Yi became both the commissar and the commander of the N4A, after Xiang Ying died and Ye Ting was detained.
