[edit] Away colors

Can someone fix the away colors? There is no black in their away colors. I tried to fix it, but couldn't for some reason.KitHutch 15:25, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I uploaded a new template that allows for a white body with thin red stripes, whereas the previous template dictated black with no apparent allowance for input. There is probably a better way to do this, but the black is out for now. Bill Oaf 06:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Individual Awards

Does anybody else want to chime in (either way) on the inclusion of individual players' awards under the "Notable Players" section? I'm in favor of it because it helps define what makes the player notable; the opinion against seems to be that the information is available elsewhere (though I argue that it isn't always on the player's personal page; it is available on the MLS Awards category page). I just wrote something on your talk page... IMHO, it makes the section look ugly. And all the awards are already listed on the individual page of the award, the page for the MLS season, and (in most cases), on the player's page. I guess it's not a big deal, but theyn you would have to put every awards for every "notable player" for every team for consistency. And personally, I don't think "All-Star MVP" should be listed on the team's page, because the All-Star game has nothing to do with the team itself. --DR31 (talk) 16:30, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Honors

i think with the year-by-year we dont need to list being first in the east as an honor--especially since they finished behind everyone in the west but kc. Nateji77 15:29, 22 September 2005 (UTC)

Like the Red Bull one? Awesome. -- Loudsox 17:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
yep, just like the Red Bull one I made TrackMonkey 21:57, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Davide Zomer

Was added as a goalkeeper on the roster. I can find no evidence of this, so I removed it. Added Oka and Abundis. Bill Oaf 04:44, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Attendance Numbers

The figures for the attendances numbers seem extremely high. I have worked at the stadium in some function for the past 4 years and these numbers seem completely made up. I suggest taking them down until verifiable ones are put up.

The official attendance figures that MLS puts out are notoriously imaginary, even compared with the padding that regularly goes on in other sports. Teams with notably bad attendance, like NE, KC, and my team, RBNY, tend to see wildly inflated numbers. Teams with good attendance (DC, LA, some others) are a little more reasonable. If it were up to me, I wouldn't mind seeing attendance numbers stripped out of all MLS articles, but no one would go for it: it'll be argued that inflated attendance figures are commonplace in sports (true), that some sort of attendance figure has to be given (more debatable), and that the league's official numbers are the only ones we can really use (sort of true, but there should be some note about reliability). Bill Oaf 01:39, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Those are the "official" attendance numbers. They may seem high, but unless you have the actual gate numbers they will have to do. 72.200.165.150 00:28, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Wolfp10

Agreed. It's official. It's officially wrong, but since that's what they are announcing, that's what it is. SirFozzie 05:59, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Other

I changed Dorman's nationality to English from Welsh. He was born in England but raised in Wales.
