Talk:New Cross Gate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The thing is, "New Cross Gate" is regarded as an area in it's own right these days, not just a railway station within neighboring New Cross.

As evidence, I cite The New Cross NDC http://www.newcrossgatendc.org.uk/

So this redirect needs to be undone, so that a proper New Cross Gate page can be begun.

Until there are a couple of thousand words on this subject, it would make more sense as a subsection at Lewisham. --Wetman 16:14, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Agreed. A government regeneration initiative doesn't make it an area in its own right. Google New Cross Gate and you'll come up with the station, property locations in relation to the station, and the NDC. That said, it does have the character of a neighbourhood within New Cross, and I've attempted to reflect this in the article. I've also removed the stuff about Hatcham, which properly relates to New Cross and is covered in that article, and shifted the interesting stuff about Father Tooth there, too.
