[edit] liberalism

I've added liberalism to the party's ideology. The chairman of the liberal organization Nova Civitas has now become part of the party, and Jean-Marie Dedecker represents a liberal faction. Intangible 17:48, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

You really can't call a party liberal because some marginal politicians, looking for a new party, joined it. --83.182.211.222 18:31, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I have removed some highly inflammatory allegations. The policies of WP:BLP applies to talk pages, not just article pages. Neither one of you is correct in labeling the party. The party can not be labeled based on your personal feelings about some of the members, but based only on reporting the label that someone else (politicians, analysts, political scientists) have used to describe the party in a reliable source that you can quote. I fully agree that a party can not be labeled based on your personal feelings about some of the members, but based only on reporting the label that someone else (politicians, analysts, political scientists) have used to describe the party in a reliable source that you can quote. If this wasn't applied, and there was a party that had some neo nazis for members, although the party itself was far from being neo nazi itself, you could call the party neo nazi. Quod non.
The same goes for calling a party "liberal", just because one or two of its members call themselves liberal.

I never called the party liberal. I just wanted to point out Dedecker would have represented a liberal wing in the party. There are plenty of sources that describe Dedecker as liberal. Anyways, since Dedecker has now left the party, this discussion here is irrelevant anyways. Intangible2.0 08:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
