Newtrament was a DJ in London credited with releasing the first ever British hip hop record in the UK.

Newtrament started out working with a band, Krew, getting involved in the new electronic music and breakdancing. In 1983, he recorded London Bridge is Falling Down (Jive, 1983). Although the pioneer of an entire genre of recorded music, Newtrament doesn't appear to have recorded anything else since then.

 Newtrament used to squat houses in the notting hill , ladbroke grove area in the early eighties. he was the first person to pioneer the warehouse party along a with a group known as krew.KREW consisted of b boys grafitti artists dj's and rappers, all from the powis square area in notting hill london.
