Newton for Hyde railway station serves the Newton area of Hyde, Greater Manchester in Greater Manchester. Newton for Hyde is 12 km (7 miles) east of Manchester Piccadilly station and managed by Northern Rail. It was opened by the Sheffield, Ashton-Under-Lyne and Manchester Railway as "Newton and Hyde" in 1841
