Newton Flotman is a village in South Norfolk, East of England UK. It lies north of Tasburgh and south of Swainsthorpe, and the River Tas flows through it. The village has a church, village hall and pub.
There is also an area of land known as Smockmill Common - which is managed by South Norfolk District Council, in Saxlingham near Newton Flotman.
Alan King has two places named after him in Newton Flotman; Alan King Playing Field and Alan Avenue.
Newton Flotman Football Club is based in the village.
The village was left without a shop after previous Post Office was closed down following a robbery, but the opening of a new convenience store in March 2007 was welcomed by locals.[1]
