Newton Fellowship Program

The Newton Fellowship Program is one of two programs run by the non-profit Math for America. The five year Fellowship recruits and trains mathematically-talented individuals to become outstanding high school math teachers, offering $90,000 in stipends in addition to teaching salary), full tuition scholarship for a master’s in education, and support services. MfA has committed to funding 180 Newton Fellowships between 2004 and 2008, 91 of which have been awarded; 48 of the Fellows will be teaching in New York City public high schools in September of 2006.
