A newspaper on demand is a high quality computer printout version of a world newspaper. Machines dispensing such newspapers typically have a touch-sensitive screen providing customer interaction.

For example, at the machine in c!ty'super in the Harbour City shopping centre in Kowloon, Hong Kong, a machine run by Satellite Newspapers can enable a user to pay US$ 5 by credit card and then receive a copy of the most recent Daily Telegraph, a British national newspaper. The machine indicates that the full printout takes two minutes.
