Newbliss (Irish: Cúil Darach) is a village in County Monaghan. From a point in Newbliss, one can accurately gauge the distance to, inter alia, Hong Kong, New York and Sydney (thanks to a helpful signpost). The landscape is an undulating one, with cars known to roll down hills of their own accord. Newbliss has a vibrant local community and considerable employment is provided by mushroom houses.
