New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is a unit of New York University. Founded in 1934, the school aims at working professionals who seek additional training tailored to their interests.

More than 2,000,000 students have graduated from SCPS since its founding. Today, SCPS serves more than 55,000 students each year. The School offers more than 2,000 courses and awards students many different academic degrees in various fields of study. Degrees awarded are master's degrees, bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees and diplomas in arts or science. SCPS also offers non-academic certificates, workshops and professional training. In addition to education, SCPS offers 12 industry centers, career counseling and other services.

In 2002, SCPS was the first educational institution to receive the Presidential "E" Award for Excellence. Also in 2002, the School opened a new site at the historic Woolworth Building, renting over 94,000 square feet of space in the 90-year-old landmark skyscraper.
