Briggs Street is a street in the Fulton County city of Johnstown, New York. The easternmost 0.25 miles of it are maintained by NYSDOT, where the overall width of the roadway is wider than that of the city-maintained portion. The point of maintenance ends over a tributary of Hale Creek. The street’s western terminus is at Comrie Avenue, which is NY 30A.
To the right (south) of that intersection, NY 29 west duplexes with NY 30A south. Straight ahead, NY 29A continues eastward toward Vail Mills and Saratoga Springs. A short one-way extension of Briggs Street exists east of that point.
NY 920C is a westward extension of the major business section of that stretch of Comrie Avenue. Several businesses are accessed on both sides, as well as a side entrance to the nearby Johnstown Arterial Plaza. The Jansen Avenue Elementary School playground is also along this route.
