New Scotland Road is an extension of New Scotland Avenue in Albany. It is maintained by NYSDOT as Reference Route 910E.
Prior to the construction of the Slingerlands Bypass, NY 85 continued on New Scotland Road, ending at US 20/Madison Avenue as New Scotland Avenue. Today, the Slingerlands Bypass is the routing of NY 85 as a superhighway to I-90 at exit 4 in Albany.
