New York State Route 7C was a short state highway running from the Schenectady County town of Niskayuna to the Albany County town of Colonie.
Known along its entire route as Rosendale Road, former NY 7C was re-designated Schenectady County Route 158. The short Albany County segment is not issued a route number.
At the western terminus, all traffic must turn right onto NY 7 (Troy-Schenectady Road) which has an immediate split option of Union Street, Schenectady. A U-turn lane is immediately available, albeit controlled by a traffic signal. Eastbound NY 7 traffic accesses former NY 7C via another U-turn ramp.
Along the route, CR 1 (River Road) apparently ends, but may be an unsigned duplex with CR 158, as when CR 158 turns hard right near its east terminus, CR 1 continues straight ahead (as Old River Road). NY 158 crosses into Albany County prior to reaching NY 7.
At the eastern terminus, the road continuing straight ahead across NY 7 is Vly Road.
